Why there is no single Robux price in Canada
Roblox prices Canadian bundles at exactly 1.30× the US list price, then charges volume discounts on top. The result is a cost per Robux that moves by 40% depending on which bundle you pick.

Before you buy
Buying inside the iOS or Android app costs roughly 25% more. Apple and Google take a 30% commission on in-app purchases and Roblox passes that on, so the same spend buys fewer Robux on a phone. Buying on the Roblox website, the Windows or Mac app, or redeeming a gift card avoids it completely. For a family spending $130 a year, that gap is about $32.
DevEx in Canadian dollars
The Developer Exchange is the only legitimate route from Robux back to real money, and it pays in US dollars.
Two rates apply in 2026. The standard rate is $0.0038 USD per earned Robux, in effect since 5 September 2025. Converted at 1.3805 USD/CAD that is roughly $0.0052 CAD, or about $5.25 CAD per thousand earned Robux.
Since 8 June 2026 a higher rate of $0.0054 USD applies to Robux earned from age-verified players aged 18 or over in the United States, inside eligible experiences. That is roughly $0.0075 CAD per qualifying Robux.
One detail most calculators miss: the higher rate follows the player, not the creator. A developer in Halifax or Vancouver earns the higher rate on every Robux that came from qualifying spend by adult US players. Your payout is blended across the two rates rather than being flat. Canadian creators are not excluded from it.
What you need to cash out
- A minimum of 30,000 earned Robux, worth about $157 CAD at the standard rate
- An account at least 13 years old with a verified email address
- An active Roblox Premium subscription
- An approved DevEx portal account, including identity verification
Only earned Robux qualify. Robux you bought with a credit card or redeemed from a gift card can never be cashed out, no matter how many you accumulate. Anyone offering to convert purchased Robux into cash is running a scam.
Because DevEx settles in US dollars, the Canadian amount that lands in your account depends on the exchange rate and conversion fee your bank or payment provider applies on the day. A typical retail bank spread of 2 to 3% can quietly cost you $15 to $20 on a $600 payout, which is worth comparing against a multi-currency account.

Roblox gift cards in Canada
Gift cards are the cheapest reliable way to buy Robux in Canada, because credit redeemed at roblox.com/redeem converts at the web store rate and skips the mobile app markup entirely. They are stocked in $10, $25 and $50 denominations at Walmart, Best Buy, Shoppers Drug Mart, EB Games and the Microsoft Store, and sold digitally through Amazon.ca.
If someone in your household habitually tops up through the iOS or Android app, switching to gift cards redeemed on the web is the easiest saving available. It requires no behaviour change beyond where the purchase happens, and it delivers roughly 25% more Robux for the same money.
A warning for younger players: Roblox gift card codes are treated as cash. Never enter a code on any site other than roblox.com, and never read one out to someone who contacted you first. Card code theft is the most common Roblox scam in Canada.

Why does the Robux price differ between the website and the app?
Roblox raises in-app prices on iOS and Android to cover the 30% commission Apple and Google charge on in-app purchases. The same spend buys roughly 20 to 25% fewer Robux inside a phone app than on the Roblox website or desktop app. Buying on the web or redeeming a gift card avoids that markup entirely.
